Presented by: The Honorable Renzo Imbeni, VP of the European Parliament at the University of Bolgna,
Italy, in celebration of the 125th anniversary of the birth of Guglielmo Marconi in that city and the 25th of the
foundation.
Professor Massey made significant advances in forward-error-correcting codes, multi-user communications, and
cryptographic systems. In addition, Professor Massey is known for his contributions to the field of engineering
education. He is currently an Adjunct Professor at the University of Lund, Sweden.
