While at the Central Radio Laboratory of Magneti Marelli in Milan from 1947 to 1962, Professor Carassa worked on
time-division pulse systems, microwave propagation, radio relay systems, waveguide communication and FM television
transmission. During this time, he completed the first radio relay network for television transmission to the entirety
of Italy. Also, he was the first to demonstrate the feasibility of radio relay systems.
