Hatti L. Hamlin
Vice President, Strategic Planning and Development
Hatti L. Hamlin, APR, Fellow PRSA, serves as Vice President of Strategic Planning and Development of the Marconi Society. A 36-year communications
veteran, she has counseled clients ranging from Fortune 500 corporations to government, non-profit and educational
institutions. Her clients have included such household names as American Express, Clorox, Sara Lee, Microsoft and GE
Capital as well as a wide array of local and regional companies.
Hatti managed her own PR firm for 14 years before joining Publicis Dialog, a unit of French-based advertising giant
Publicis, as executive vice president. There, she launched and managed the firm�s San Francisco public relations
division. She left Publicis to join Fleishman-Hillard, where she was vice president and head of the San Francisco
health care practice, then established her solo public relations practice in 2001. She joined the Marconi team as a
West Coast consultant, and was a key member of the team that organized the 2006 Gala, Symposium and press activities.
Hatti is long-time member of the Public Relations Society of America and is a past president of the San Francisco
chapter and past chair of the North Pacific District. She was elected to the PRSA College of Fellows in 2004, and
in 2006 she was honored with the PRSA Rex Harlow Award for lifetime achievement in the public relations profession.
She sits on the advisory boards of the College of Natural Resources at UC Berkeley, and UC Berkeley�s Center for
Weight and Health. Hatti received a B.A. in Mass Communications from the University of Washington in 1972.
